It's windy today

Yesterday we had rain most of the day. It wasn't heavy very often, but more of a continuous light rain. Then last night after 10pm the winds started picking up. All night and now today , it's windy with some gusts(nothing near hurricane strength, thank God, but possibly gusts of 40-50mph).

We couldn't sleep well last night due to so many tornado warnings in areas south of us, and us checking to see if anything was headed our way. After midnight we got too tired to keep the news on for warnings, so we just went to sleep and had to trust God we'd be ok. Neither of us have experienced a tornado so the unknown aspect of it is freaky. Thankfully nothing happened overnight with a tornado around here. But last night on BayNews9 there was a tornado warning about 4-5 different times, but for areas south of us. Still, almost the entire state of Fl was under a tornado watch overnight. (Tornado watch=conditions could occur that are favorable for forming tornadoes throughout different storms; Tornado warning= circulation has been detected and it's very favorable for a tornado to form at any moment. )

Sujeet called out of work today, because our little Honda Civic hatchback doesn't do well with gusty wind and it'd be dangerous for him to drive all the way down to work, especially also because his job is in a low lying area that has voluntary evacuations. Of course, his office is still open...maybe because the boss is in Hawaii for a project, and doesn't care about the weather conditions here while he is in paradise. *rolls eyes*, Still praying for Sujeet to find a new job.
